"Reading gives us someplace to go when we have to stay where we are." ~Mason Cooley There are many ways you can support Children's Literacy Center.
Consider donating books to CLC. We take all kinds of books, from books for kids, to adult fiction and non-fiction. Your donations are tax-deductable and allow CLC to continue to provide free one-to-one tutoring to kids reading below grade level.
Donate an auction item for our annual Vintner Dinner. Contact Gina Solazzi (gina@peakreader.org) for more information on how you can get involved with our largest fundraiser of the year, our annual Vintner Dinner. Vintner Dinner 2010 is October 16th at the Garden of the Gods Club and features wines from MacMurray Ranch.

Consider us in your estate planning. When I return to my hometown, I smile to remember how the stairs of the Classical Revival-style library towered when I was small, and my outrage when I learned I was limited to checking out so few books after the challenge. It pains me to think of children who don't take the same pleasure in reading, so I support the Children's Literacy Center in numerous ways. Wouldn't you like to encourage and excite a student who is reading below grade level? A mention in a newsletter from another fine organization reminded me that my Executor could not decide to give to those I wanted to benefit when I died - I was required to spell it out. The timing was perfect, as my estate plan was due for an update after I became a permanent resident here. A quick phone call to my attorney started the process. He explained a multitude of ways I could contribute. Such a simple step to take, and it enables CLC to continue to enrich children's lives after I'm gone. A Planned Giving definition I like: Commitment today, Completion tomorrow
Won't YOU remember Children's Literacy Center in your will?
